This is a nice and generally useful set of stamps. It's up to the individual what to use them for, as some of the images are a bit vague; for example, I am using the compass for travel writing, and the globe for current affairs, but that is just my interpretations. The castle has to do for both historical fiction and history. Is the cook's knife with blood on it meant to be for food or murders? Your guess is as good as mine.
There are some frustrating gaps. Arts, crafts and fashion. Religion. General biography. Children's books. Short stories. I know it's not intended to cover everything, but there are two stamps with hearts on them (neither of which is likely to get used much around here). The greatest mystery is the gas mask stamp: I have no idea what that is meant to represent!
