My new favourite pens!

This is my first time trying this type of pen and I love it. Using paint in a journal is so cool, these pens flow nicely and are great for artwork or lettering.

As an artist and avid journal keeper who is familiar with Posca brand acrylic pen markers, I was keen to try these Archer & Olive pen markers. I ordered the Jewel 0.7mm pack and put them through a few tests. The box the pens come in has large foam inserts and is way too big for 10 pens. The box itself is nice, but with only 10 pens spread out inside, it's not likely to be a long term storage solution. The pens (0.7 size) have a plastic nib and required priming. Thats usual for acrylic pens,. however the plastic nib was a little scratchy to write with, and when compared to a (replaceable) Posca nib that's not plastic, there was no difference in the thickness of the line, but the Posca pen was smooth. The colours are pastel and muted...I shook them up well, but they still appeared dull. I again compared them to a few Posca pens and a couple of colours are identical to Posca colours, only Posca pens are much more vibrant. Some of the colours, in particular the pale blue, scratched he'd up the paper (used in A & O planner) and did not lay down smooth, but rather with visible lines through the colour block. Once dry, the colour was textured, rather than smooth. I am disappointed in this product and for for the price I paid, I expected a better quality product. I would not purchase any more Archer & Olive acrylograph pens.

Awesome as always

Shannon is a magician with her postage times; however, this time I had the pleasure of visiting the warehouse and picking my items up in person. Either way you choose to receive your items, the transaction will be a joy!
